Our official opening of the digital camera was better than we could ever have expected. We were delighted to welcome The Worshipful the Mayor  to open the our new Digital Camera Club. The Mayor was accompanied by the Lady Mayoress, along with support from our local Councillors Susan Morris, Margaret Salsbury and Michael Bloom. PCSO Roy Collins came to represent the local neighbourhood policing team. Our club leader, Steve Lashley give a short speech and thanked all who had helped to make this happen. Cllr Salsbury received a special thank you for recommending the KCA and Conqueror Hall to residents of Sovereign Harbour, in turn connecting two very different communities together.  Our chair George Herne was thanked for his collaboration and good efforts.

The Mayor posed for many photographs for the members, we hope that he enjoyed the afternoon as much as we all did. The Mayor thanked us and offered us the rare opportunity to to invite all KCA DCC members to his parlour for afternoon tea where he will judge and select the winning pictures and present the prizes. We are all honoured and graciously accepted the Mayor's invitation, this will be held on:  Thursday 22nd January 3pm Town Hall.  

Please dress smartly and have your picture on A4 photo paper for display to the Mayor.
