Easter 2007

Kingsmere Community Association lays Golden Egg!

Despite it being April Fools Day this was no yoke! The Kingsmere Community Association’s Easter party and disco turned out to be a huge success. A battery of 76 under tens and their parents turned up and had free range to arts and crafts, games, food & drinks and free Easter Eggs. The Easter Bunny even made an appearance!

This was the first Easter party for the new Kingsmere Community Association and we have no doubt we cracked it! Following the large numbers attending next year we will almost certainly have to divide the party up into two further age groups to cope with the demand.

In the evening we went on to hold a disco for the 11-16 year olds which was attended by 56 young people. As we said to them all “This could be the first and last or the first of many, it all depends on attendance and behaviour”  Well done to all who came along and enjoyed a great night with impeccable behaviour and manners shown by all…..so there we go……..the first of many!

We would like to thank all the KCA members for their hard work, time and commitment to ensuring the parties went well. We also need to thank the Housing Associations for funding the events and a special thank you goes to our door security for the night, Izon Security Services.

Most of all, thank you to all who attended, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
