Easter 2008

Success again as Kingsmere's residents attend our 2nd Easter event 2008, below you can see PCSO Roy Collins presenting us with a cheque for £200 towards the cost of putting on both this event and Sundays Disco night.

This year we decided to have a 'community' event as opposed to a children's party and everyone really enjoyed themselves whilst helping us raise some funds for the KCA's next event.

We had a range of stalls including 'play your cards right' 'pick a lolly' and the always popular tombola. Partylite had a wonderful display of candles, there was a manicure table, face painting by Caroline and Barry Black's 'The Magic Show' which the children loved. We highly recommend both Caroline's face painting and The Magic Show for anyone looking for first class fun for their next child's party. For contact details please email us. The children also had an arts and crafts table where they could make Easter boxes which we filled with mini eggs.

The name the Easter Bunny was won by Oisin, well done and the colouring competition was won by Amy, congratulations to you both.

Residents were able to take home free energy saving light bulbs and over 100 were handed out.

Every child went home with a free Easter Egg.

PCSO Roy Collins commented 'What a great turnout, well done to the KCA'

Thank you to the Police for your donation which helped to make the day such a success.

Chairman George Hearne would like to thank all the KCA members for their hard work both on the day and before, he stated the event was 'eggcellent!'
