The KCA Proposed T-Junction

We would like to have a traffic light t-junction in place as seen on map below to help save lives
from speeding traffic and have a safe pedestrian crossing.

This will:

Allow emergency services to get to us about 4 minutes sooner.

Will slow traffic down on the A259 & help save lives.

Save our petrol  as each car drives about 182 miles a year  and causes damage to the ozone x approx 300 cars !

Have a safe pedestrian crossing closer to our area for our elderly & children's safety.

Please take a look at the pictures below and help the KCA fight for these safety measures before another death occurs.

Please print this poster to show others click on lights

This is how it is now This is what we would like to have

1 car for 1 journey off Kingsmere over 1 year wastes 182 miles.
Approx 300 cars a day adds up to 54600 miles of ozone damage too!

I fully support this campaign. Over the last few years I have seen
several serious accidents with most of them, leaving victims either
seriously injured or dead. This junction change will slow down the
traffic and give a safe crossing to residents, living on Kingsmere
and Kings Park. Slowing down the traffic will save lives. Emergency
services will arrive much quicker. It is only a matter of time until
a child is killed on this road. I have signed your petition and I
am sure you will get the support of local residents who use this road
on a daily basis.

I think that this is a marvellous idea by the KCA and fully support
the group in this campaign. I believe that it would help to resolve
many of the problems on this stretch of road and help the residents
of Kingsmere and Kings Park.

Thanks Kate.

I think this is an excellent idea and am discussing how best to
proceed with Dave Elkin.

Best wishes
